Assign jobs to field staff and have them closed with photos
With CloudotNet you assign jobs to field staff on their phone and can require before / after photos before a job is closed. Staff don't install an app: they open the job in their phone's browser, fill in the checklist, add photos and complete it.
How it's done today, and what's hard
Field jobs are usually handed out by phone call or message. While the team is small, that works: everyone knows who is where.
As the number of jobs grows, so do the questions. Who has this job, has it started, is it done? When someone says “sorted” and there's no photo or note, you have nothing to show when a customer asks.
Step by step with CloudotNet
- Invite your teamStaff sign in with the link in their invitation email. You can gather the field team in a group such as “Field Team”.
- Open the jobEnter the title, description, priority, category and location. A job number is assigned for you. For jobs you repeat often, start from a task template.
- Assign it to a person or a groupGive the job to one or more people, or to a whole group. Everyone in the group sees it and whoever is available takes it.
- Set what it takes to closeMake before / after photos or a signed-off report a required document. The job can't be completed while a required document is missing.
- Staff run the job from their phoneThey see their own jobs, accept, start, fill in the checklist, add photos and finish.
- You follow along from the officeThe card, list or Kanban view shows every job's status: New, In progress, On hold, Closed. Who took which step and when is kept in the job's history.
Frequently asked questions
Do field staff have to download an app?
No. CloudotNet runs in the phone's browser. Staff sign in with the link in their invitation email and see their own jobs.
Can a job be closed without a photo?
Not if you've made the photo a required document. The job can't be completed while a required document is missing, and staff are shown which one is missing.
Can I give a job to a whole group instead of one person?
Yes. When you assign a job to a group, everyone in it sees the job and can take it. If you prefer, only the primary assignee can move it forward.
Do staff see other people's jobs?
Staff see only their own jobs, based on the permissions you give them. You decide who can see and change what.
How many staff can I add? Does the price change?
The number of users doesn't change the price. Create a free account and invite your whole field team.
